MY oga on top - Obafaiye Shem rumoured to have been suspended

 You must have heard the new slang in town - “my oga at the top”  and ww.nscdc datsall.

 However amusing it might be, unconfirmed report states that the Lagos State Commandant of the National Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Mr. Obafaiye Shem, has been suspended from office by the Ministry of Interior.


Now no one knows for certain the reason behind it but the guess of most of us is Mr Shem’s suspension might not be unconnected with the embarrassing interview the commandant granted Channels Television early this week.

The news of his interview "blunder" went viral after Mr. Obafaiye appeared on Channels Television morning programme ‘Sunrise’ and was asked the NSCDC website.

His response was: “Hmmm, the website is, excuse me, my Oga at the top knows the website”, he again, cleared his throat and said: “My Oga at the top is working on the website and I don’t have them”.
At presenters persistence he simply said “ww.nscdc, that’s all”.
Trust Nigerians to capitalise on a bad situation, t-shirts with “my oga at the top” insignia has been produced and selling like hot cake across the country. Some DJ’s and musicians have done what they called remix of the interview.


 Do you support the suspension of Mr Shem? Or should he simply be cut some slack?
