MRS MICHELLE OBAMA AWARDING EXCELLENCE

It saddening that we still have more women around the world, most especially in Africa who passes  through domestic abuse, have their rights infringed upon and their voices are unheard. Only few NGO stays to combat these challenges and put the plight of these women in the public eye.

When these group of individuals get recognised and awarded for their unyielding services it like placing the right feather on the right cap.

The USA government lead by The first Lady, Mrs Michelle and John Kerry united state secretary on Friday awarded 10 phenomenal women of which Dr. Josephine Okei-Odumakin, was part of .

Dr Josephine Okei- Odumakin happens to be active President of  Campaign for Democracy and President of Women Arise for Change Initiative. The award ceremony was held at Dean Acheson Auditorium of the U.S. Department of State.

I congratulate those awarded and implore them to do more because there is still much work to be done to help women around the world so that their voices can be heared and for them to be valuable to themselves. Most especially in the mid east, Central Africa and Northern Nigeria.
